Early 20th century Windsor back
Windsor back cushion chair
This bench had a least 6 coats of paint on it.
Stained with dark red mahogany aniline dye and finished with 3 coats of satin poly. Reupholstered with a very rich blue, red and gold stripe fabric.

This is a mid 19th century oak rocker with tung oil finish and caning replaced with Quaker tape.
This was a storage shed basket case (literally) which came to us in pieces.
One of a set of 6 and part of a complete dining room set.
This chair was a personal challenge given its poor condition. We removed over 34 nails and screws which had been "added" to it over the years. Several spindles were reproduced and the original press board bottom replaced with embossed leather.
This chair had 4 coats of paint and canvas nailed over the original ruined caning.
The original rush bottom was preserved during this refinishing.
Part of a set of 9 they were in very bad condition upon arrival. These are probably the most attractive chairs we have ever restored - Beautiful walnut stock.
Maple chair with mahogany veneered back. The back is inlaid with satin wood using the burnt sand technique for shading.
Grandparents wanted to pass this on to their daughter for their new grandchild. The decals had to be retained and minor repairs effected. Stained with colonial maple aniline dye and three coats of semi-gloss poly.

Solid mahogany chair with ebony and basswood marquetry. Repairs included broken leg, broken and separated back and missing marquetry.
